About Me
I’m Meg Temple—mom, wife, friend, therapist, and non-profit leader. My family loves games, and you’ll almost always find a deck of cards, a set of dice, or a friendly punch buggy wherever you find my family. Growing up, I watched my mom play cards with her friends at the beach and around our home, and I learned firsthand how games bring people together. When I discovered mahjong, I fell in love—not just with the strategy, but with the way it creates space for women to connect, laugh, and challenge themselves. However, I also noticed that many beautiful tile sets were out of reach for a lot of players. That’s where Pause4Mahjong was born.

Pause4Mahjong is about women embracing fun, creativity, and community through mahjong. Our mission is to offer stunning, high-quality tile sets and gifts at an accessible price, making the game more inclusive while keeping the aesthetics that so many players love. The name comes from two inspirations: as a new player, I constantly found myself saying, “Pause… never mind,” (which will eventually make its way into our product line!). More importantly, as a busy mom, therapist, and non-profit leader, I am often on the go, overwhelmed and out of breath. I know the importance of caring for oneself but finding ways to do it that I was motivated towards was hard. I found mahjong as a great way to rejuvenate and Pause4Mahjong as a reminder to all women to just take a moment and breathe, and find the things the fill your cup.
